Brittany Hemphill, MScBMC, BFA
I am a professional medical illustrator and biomedical communicator.
I specialize in creating visuals to help clients communicate their complex scientific or medical information in a clear, comprehensible and engaging way.
These projects can come in an unlimited variety of formats including: medical illustration, data visualization, graphic design/layout, storyboarding and animation. Each project takes into account the intended audience, through varied levels of complexity in both design and language.
I have a Master of Science in Biomedical Communications degree from the University of Toronto, as well as a Bachelor of Fine Arts, Spec. Honours Visual Art from York University. I also have a science background through courses in anatomy, physiology, embryology, cell biology, neuroanatomy, and pathology. You can see a complete list of my exhibitions here.
My work focuses on scientific accuracy, effective communication and aesthetic visuals. I am dedicated, precise, detail-oriented and, most importantly, passionate about what I do... and I would love to work with you on your next visualization project!
